The Thanksgiving Table

It might seem early, but this time of year, things tend to go on fast forward, and the next thing you know, the holiday season has begun.

Generally, I like to prepare for the holidays as early as possible. I like to be organized and, well, prepare ahead or, at the very least, “map” things out. It allows me to be less scattered-brained, and of course, enjoy the holidays more.

Thanksgiving is a holiday that usually requires a lot of prepping, from the food, all the way to setting the table. And we shouldn’t ignore that last part… After all, I think that a beautiful setup makes for a more festive feeling and look.

With that in mind, I’ve put together a few ideas for a Thanksgiving tablescape that leans towards traditional. All the items pictured and linked are from Amazon, and I wanted to share them now because some are currently on sale.

Apart from those pictured, if you want to get even more festive and creative, use this turkey-shaped baking pan (would make for a very fun baking project with kids), and this wheat and pumpkin loaf pan to bake an adorable holiday cake for your table.

When it comes to linens, I like the Maison d' Hermine brand found on Amazon— their European-inspired and designed pieces are beautiful and unique. Of course, the brand has several collections for Thanksgiving as well, which include tablecloths, table runners, placemats, napkins, kitchen/tea towels, aprons, oven mitts, pot holders, etc. Basically, everything you’d need to set up your kitchen and table for the holidays (though don’t sleep on their spring/summer collections — they’re stunning!).

As superficial as it may sound, life is just more enjoyable when we’re surrounded by pretty things [and good people], so let’s not shy away from them. Get ahead of the holiday craze with these ideas below.
