5 things that bring me joy this week, vol. 145
You can check out the entire “5 things that bring me joy this week” weekly series here. It’s a collection of seemingly insignificant things that remind us to appreciate the little things—those small joys that make a difference in our daily lives.
Yep, this is the 145th installment in this series I started in 2022, on April 6th, to be exact. A lifetime ago, it feels like…
It sure feels like weeks are flying by, while the hours of the day are dragging, doesn’t it?
A lot is going on right now… While staying connected and informed, remember to take care of yourself and, most importantly, to guard your mind. And don’t feel guilty for feeling moments of joy or even taking time for yourself. Life doesn’t stop, don’t forget to take it in…
With that said, here are 5 random things bringing me joy this week:
afternoon thunderstorms. I know I’m not the only one who enjoys these. They’re so soothing!
baking some delicious cherry muffins. I’ve been in the mood to bake lately, and my latest bake has been cherry muffins. I use this recipe and substitute the blueberries with whatever fruits/berries I have on hand. I also swap the vegetable oil with coconut oil and reduce the sugar, and generally skip the crumb topping (though it’s a delicious touch — I again swap the butter with coconut oil when I do make it). They’re so good (and easy)!
this new TV series we discovered! It’s so good and I’m truly looking forward to watching it every day (we watch one episode per day). I will be truly sad when it ends, but until then, this show brings me immense joy!
this skirt I’m eyeing. I saw it in an ad, and it immediately caught my attention. It looks like an Italian vacation!
these heels! They’re so comfy and pretty, and the perfect heel height for me!
What’s bringing YOU joy this week?
