5 things that bring me joy this week

You can check out the entire “5 things that bring me joy this week” weekly series here. It’s a collection of seemingly insignificant things that remind us to appreciate the little things—those small joys that make a difference in our daily lives.

This past weekend was not as relaxing as I thought it would be, so I am more than looking forward to a do-over.

We managed, however, to go to the museum to visit a Kimono exhibition and stroll along the water after, enjoying a wonderful cool breeze in the high temperatures.

The rest of the week so far has been fairly quiet, though we, of course, enjoyed delicious homemade fish tacos on Monday, in honor of the holiday (sans margaritas for us).

That and this list of 5 random things that are bringing me joy this week:

clean sheets on Mondays. Okay, Monday isn’t my favorite day by any means, so I try to make it “less painful” with little things, one of them being changing the sheets so we can slide into clean ones at the end of the day. We all know that brings joy!
homemade hummus. I said it before, but I refuse to buy hummus for the simple reason that I’ve mastered making it at home. I try to make it frequently so we can have it with sandwiches or bowls throughout the week. Plus, I really love hummus!
this bag. It’s quite unique (and more gray than off-white). I really like it, and I can’t wait to “take it out”! What can I say? I go for what I like and brings me joy, not necessarily what’s trending…
a good sweating session. I won’t lie, I am “dragging” myself to the gym every time, but again and again, I feel great about it once I’m done. These days, I’m trying to “sweeten the deal” with either audiobooks or music, of course (which is always a mix of this and now also this). Moving my body brings joy!
