The linen pieces you need this season

You guys know my love for linen — it’s literally my favorite fabric! Lightweight, cooling, durable, effortlessly chic — what’s not to love about it? It is the perfect fabric for summer or any warm/hot weather.

I’m also loving the fact that linen has gained popularity in recent years and it now comes in all shapes and forms. If you’re looking for sustainable and eco-friendly fabrics that also look great, linen is your answer.

What makes it sustainable?

Linen is made from flax, a renewable resource that requires less water and pesticides to grow compared to other crops. Its production generates less waste compared to synthetic fabrics. It is also biodegradable and has a low environmental impact — it sounds pretty great, doesn’t it!

Yes, linen can be see-through, but I got you covered in solving that problem — check this post where I detail how to fix or prevent that!

As I’m starting to prepare for the incessantly hot season here, I’m eyeing pieces made of linen. I was pleasantly surprised to find so many gorgeous options that are perfect for work and play. Also, most of these are pretty decently priced.

Noteworthy linen finds…

I’m in love with these exaggerated wide-leg pants; while I couldn’t find the top it’s paired with in the picture, I think they’d look amazing with this square-neck linen tank.

This dress is a show-stopper and while I don’t really like the cutout trend, this gorgeous dress is kind of changing my mind (and transporting me to some very elegant location in Morocco).

This striped linen dress is perfect for every day and even work, if your office has more of a casual vibe.

This shirt dress is simple yet so elegant.

This printed linen waistcoat and the matching trousers can obviously be worn together or separately, and I think they look incredibly chic.

This cross-back dress has sexy written all over it and this belted one is perfect for work (and play, of course). So is this linen blend bow dress.

Vests are big this season and this linen one is perfect for dressing up or down, worn with a suit blazer and trousers or casually with a pair of jeans.
