Life has been fast-paced lately, though it primarily unfolded at home. We’ve been on a pretty strict schedule (my IG stories explain it all), and trying to fit in everything else around that. It’s been a bit challenging but also worth it, as these days I feel a lot more peace and joy.

For my weekly series that attempts to insert more gratitude into my life by reminding me to appreciate the small things, here are 5 of them bringing me joy this week:

  • Coffee! While I don’t, per se, love coffee (I keep it very basic as I like to get my calories from food, not drinks) I can’t live without it. These days, it’s needed more than ever, so it’s safe to say that coffee brings me joy right now.

  • This invigorating shampoo that’s under $10! Summer is well-settled in Florida and this tea tree and rosemary shampoo has an amazing cooling effect that inevitably spreads to my entire body when in the shower. In hot weather, that feels amazing! I personally love the spa-like smell and relaxing effect it has on me, and I very much look forward to washing my hair at the end of the day (yes, I wash my hair daily).

  • Having found a pair of shoes that go with absolutely everything, are comfy, and take the guessing out of “what shoes am I going to wear with this?”. Getting ready just got a whole lot easier… or, wait… should I wear this dress or this one? Sigh…

  • This device that revives “tired” fabric. Fabric pills are so unsightly, however, when the pills occur, it doesn’t mean that your favorite things have reached the end of their lives. This fabric shaver makes them look new again, so before you toss that sweater or blanket, try reviving them (always follow the instructions).

  • Relatively low humidity. Though it’s hot here already, humidity hasn’t gotten to the summer levels yet, and that alone brings me a lot of joy.

What’s bringing you joy this week?

xo,

Em
