I shared on my Instagram stories that hubby and I have decided to officially move to Florida. The decision is somewhat due to the pandemic, and the fact that we have considered moving here for a while now.

At the beginning of 2019, we left California, for the simple reason that we weren’t happy there, and after traveling for the rest of the year to several places, including Europe, New York, and Florida, we decided to settle in Florida, at least for the time-being. Though we absolutely love traveling and will continue to do so once this pandemic subsides, we also understood while traveling that we are homebodies and love to spend time at home, so a nomad lifestyle is not for us, or, at the very least, for me.

So while we’re still in the process of finalizing our move - things are moving slowly because of the situation down here - we have found a place that I’m now looking forward to decorating and making it a home.

Since we donated the majority of our possessions upon leaving California - it just didn’t make sense for us to put them in storage - I’m once again looking to replace our furniture and homewares. However, this time I decided to go for a more minimalist style and focus less on decorating items, while still keeping the beach theme. Of course, I’m going for my beloved blue and white color scheme while adding a barely-there red accent here & there.

So far, these are some of the things I decided on adding to our new place; apart from the throws and lamps, I have already bought the rest of these items in our previous home, as well as our new one, and I can vouch for the quality and feel.
