Flowy, lightweight dresses bring me joy.

We’re getting back in the swing of things after our trip to Washington DC and hurricane Ian. We were extremely lucky (and grateful) not to get affected by the latter, however, we still had to reorganize and catch up on everything we had to ignore or pause while getting ready and waiting for it.

With that said, here are the 5 things that are bringing me joy this week:

  • The incredible weather we’ve been having! Hurricane Ian brought a cooling trend to Tampa Bay’s temperatures, aka, low to mid-80s, and lower humidity. The latter has been making all the difference, and after the extreme heat we’ve had since April, this has been glorious to experience. Needless to say that this has brought so much joy. Most may be dreaming of fall colors and temps, but I am dreaming of low 80s to mid-70s over here, and being able to get outdoors without suffocating, while also not freezing. After all, that’s largely the reason we live in Florida…🤷‍♀️

  • This tropical print dress I’m wearing in the photo above that I haven’t had a chance to wear this summer. I bought it on a whim at T.J.Maxx a while ago particularly because it’s lightweight and thought that it would be great for the sweltering summers here. It’s by Label of Love and has won me over with its movement and flowingness, and the print, of course — it’s so happy! While I’m not able to find this particular one online, if you’re interested in summer dresses, check out this lemon print dress, this one, and this citrus print dress.

  • Popcorn! We’ve been enjoying it every other day as a snack. We get the organic popping corn from Trader Joe’s and make it ourselves.

  • This adorable stoneware bowl with a pedestal. Isn’t it the cutest? P.S. It’s currently on sale!

  • Warm weather. I hear that it got cold basically overnight in many places, and well, the thought of that does not bring joy — I dislike the cold, in case that’s not obvious… However, the warm weather here (read not hot) sure does.

What’s bringing YOU joy this week?

xo,

Em
