5 things that bring me joy this week

5 things that bring me joy this week | Blooming Magnolias Blog | Lifestyle, travel memories, somewhere in Paris

Check the entire “5 things that bring me joy this week” weekly series here, a collection of seemingly insignificant things that serve as a reminder to appreciate the little things — those small joys that make a difference in our day-to-day.

Hello there? How’s your week going so far? I thought it was Thursday all day today, so it should be a fun rest of the week around here…

In other news, we went to the Museum of Fine Arts in St Pete over the weekend and were fascinated by the “live restoration” of a tabernacle. This piece is damaged beyond repair, and yet, someone bringing it back to its former glory is seriously incredible. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend checking it out

Here’s my list of 5 [random] things bringing me joy this week:

  • this stunning dress I finally got my hands on… It’s been going in and out of stock for months, and I happened to check on it at the right time. I am so in love with it! *True-to-size. If you’re in between sizes, go up!

  • the joy of doing nothing. Okay, not completely… I mean… enjoying a cup of tea with no phone, book, etc., just being in the moment. Try it — it’s delightful!

  • going through the photos of our 4-month-long Europe trip. This blog post brought up some nostalgia as that was an unforgettable time and experience for us. As far as the image above, I couldn’t possibly tell you where it was taken. I know it was off-the-beaten-path in Paris, someplace with no tourists. I remember we stopped for a moment to enjoy the peace and get some rest since there wasn’t anyone around. The joy!

  • watching Ghosts. I said in my April at-a-glance blog post that I thought the UK version was better, but I take that back now that we’re further into this show. It got so much better once the US version stopped mirroring the UK episodes and created their own storylines. So yes, I now love both shows equally. Highly recommend them for lighthearted comedy!

  • this book I’m reading. I love the story so far, but the best part about it is that it transports me to Italy every single time! It brings me joy!

What’s bringing YOU joy this week?

xo,

Em
