Re-wearing a favorite dress

You'll hear me call a lot of my dresses “a favorite” but as absurd as this may sound, they are “a favorite” at one point or another. At any time, I have a favorite dress depending on several factors like my mood, weather, and/or how I feel.

Generally, during hot and especially humid weather (and we’ve been having a lot of it in Florida), I tend to wear breathable pieces that flow (movement is always wanted *insert heart eyes*) or ones that don’t touch my body much (like the one here).

I consider my style to be easy but feminine, as in, I go for pieces that would make dressing [up] a rather quick, effortless process, at which point dresses (and jumpsuits) become the ideal choice. I’m also generally picky about fabrics, the reason why I don’t like shopping online as much because I can’t get a feel of the fabric that way.

I tend to go for pieces that I know would last for years, so trends are definitely not necessarily a factor in my choices when it comes to shopping. And I have no shame in that. I choose pieces that flatter my body and provide comfort, those are key for me.

With that said, I have put a “pause” on my shopping, to allow myself to wear what I already have. So lately I have been re-wearing the clothes I have and love with different accessories or as they are, depending on the occasion or circumstances.

Case in point: the dress I’m re-wearing in these photos, on a day of exploring the city we’re in. I previously wore this dress here, on our trip to Europe, with flat espadrilles for a lot more walking.

This time I decided to go with heeled espadrilles, and different accessories for the same chic, feminine and effortless look.

If you’re looking for easy, yet cute pieces to make your everyday go-to for spring/summer, take a look at the ones below - I surely would love to add some of them (ok, all of them) to my closet. Note: The royal blue piece is a linen jumpsuit that I have in red (worn here); while I love it, it runs big in the chest area (if you are bustier, it would be perfect) - I had to adjust mine a bit because of that.

Don’t forget your espadrilles for a full spring/summer look; some options here, here, and of course my beloved White Mountain ones that I wear ALL the time.
