Weekend fun and a mermaid

Just like everyone else, me and hubby are always looking forward to the weekend, since then we have the time to explore and discover new places in our area. So Cal has such an array of beautiful places, it only makes us want to go out and find them all.
This time it was La Jolla Cove area, in San Diego, a place we thought we knew, but really had no idea what we were missing.
Since it was supposed to be another hot day, a summer dress was a must, so I chose to wear a maxi dress I found at Ross Dress for Less. Love its baby blue color and the gray roses print on it, and it does look kind of elegant and feminine - a style I think best describes me, even though you won't always see me wearing such. I could not find this dress online but I found something a bit similar here, and I hope you like it...
So while strolling along the streets we came across this metal mermaid sculpture - how amazing is it? I could not stop staring at it and was caught in the act by my hubby in the picture below.

Here's another restaurant's patio that we went to check out and made reservations for another night to come and enjoy. The restaurant itself has ocean views so we can't wait to have our meal there soon.
And a peek of the terrace of the same restaurant, overlooking the ocean...

La Jolla area is gorgeous and full of cute little restaurants and terraces, like this Italian restaurant's patio, isn't it pretty?

So we did not know this place existed, how cool is this cave, and as many other times, we found it by chance. It was a beautiful spot, crowded with birds, people and seals...
This bag I am wearing in the picture below is from T.J. Maxx and it was actually picked by my husband, what do you think of his choice and taste? I think he did a great job.

Here's a closer picture of my dress. I received a lot of compliments on it. What do you think?
This is what you see when you look down these cliffs, isn't it beautiful? If it wasn't for the pungent smell of birds, I'd stay there all day...
It would be a great place to kayak, so it's been added to our bucket list.

These are the La Jolla Caves that we're going to explore some day when my outfit does not consist of a dress and sandals - I wonder when that day will be though, haha...
