The three products you need for good hair days

The three products you need for good hair days | Blooming Magnolias Blog | Beauty, Haircare, Hask Hair

Once again I tried to grow my hair and ended up cutting it. I think that short hair is more of my style, especially because of the less time it takes to "maintain". Once it was cut, my hairdresser blow-dried and arranged it so it looked gorgeous for the rest of the day.

I wash my hair daily, so once the shower time came, I was excited for no more tangled mess my longer hair was. However, once I washed it, I got a little nervous. Short hair doesn't necessarily mean less time getting ready. I stopped blow drying my hair more than a year ago and I've noticed good changes. But a bob-like haircut takes a little more than just air-drying, if I am to avoid the frizziness. I still wanted to skip the blow-out, as well as the hair oils I was using to detangle it.

What I did instead, was use a biotin boost thickening conditioner after shampooing it (currently using this shampoo, which I'm very happy with). Once the hair was towel-dried a bit, I finished with running a pea-size amount of the biotin boost thickening cream and let it air-dry. These products are supposed to give the hair volume. In my case, it keeps the frizz away as well, and trust me, I have very frizzy hair. I am usually very sensitive to smells, and this product does have a bit of a strong smell, but it doesn't bother me, especially that it goes away once my hair dries.

But, I think the most important step in my new haircare though is the way I sleep. In order for my hair to look the best the next day, it must be dry by bedtime. I have switched to silk pillowcases for both me and my husband and I no longer see the broken hair on my pillow when I wake up. It also helped with keeping it more smooth.

All these products are super affordable, so I hope you try them and see if they give you the same results - these might be the three products you need for good hair days.

Until next time.

XOXO,

Em
