Striped chambray cropped pants

I love dresses but sometimes they are not practical so I have to replace them. Jumpsuits are fun, but we all know what a pain they are at certain times. The logical choice here is pants.

Jeans are way too uncomfortable during hot days so I always search for other options for the times when wearing a dress or skirt won't work. Thankfully, there are tons of options out there, but, truth be told, I'm very picky with my choices.

I was at Target a few weeks ago and I saw these striped chambray cropped pants. To be totally honest, it was my hubby who liked them more than I did at first (they looked too stripy to me), and he insisted I tried them on. So I did and he said I should get them. Like an obedient wife (KIDDING!), I bought them. I'm glad I did - they really grew on me. Apart from the chambray (who doesn't like that?), they are made of very light fabric, so perfect for summer. Oh, and did I mention they have pockets?

​I didn't find them to be see-through, but I make sure I wear the right underwear with them, aka nude-colored (like these here, here and here), just in case.

​To keep this outfit simple, I paired it with a basic white tee, my cat-eye sunglasses, and yes, my espadrilles (get them here or here - go down half a size). For a less-casual look, try pairing these pants with this blouse or this off shoulders, or make a set of it with this top.
