Luxsio sonic facial cleansing brush massager

I have to admit that prior to our 4-months trip to Europe, I was concerned about my skin. It's interesting how my skin ALWAYS breaks out when we travel, no matter the shape it is in before the trip.

I shared on my Shop page the products I use and my holy grail when it comes to skincare, including how I wash my face. In fact, I swear by my Clarisonic that I've been using for about 6 years now, as it has bettered my skin. Yes, the Clarisonic brush + heads are a bit of an investment but so worth it in my opinion.

The problem with Clarisonic is, that it's usually big + heavy and not always convenient for travel.

Considering that we are traveling with carry-ons only as luggage, room + weight was super important. I understood early on in our trip planning that I wouldn't be able to bring my Clarisonic face brush, so I had to look for other options.

I was looking into buying a Foreo brush, but they're also not cheap, plus I was a bit concerned with how easy it would be to clean the corners of my nose and such because of its shape.

While scrolling through the almost endless options on Amazon, I came across Luxsio Sonic Facial Cleansing Brush Massager. It was fairly cheap with a design that would ensure ease to clean the entire face. It's supposed to cleanse, exfoliate, massage, and even help against aging.

I read the description as well as reviews and since there were so many positives, I decided to order it a few days before we were set to fly. I have to say I didn't have many expectations, but of course, I was hoping for a good product to help clean my face well during our travels.

I received the face brush on the scheduled delivery time. It came in a nice box, with instructions, a USB-charging cord (it can only be charged via USB), a travel pouch, and a face mask brush. The cleansing brush itself is very light and not too big. I tried it to make sure it works and is charged and packed it in my luggage.

I have been using this face brush almost every day since we left the States and I have to say I am happy with it.

On the days I don't use it, I notice a difference in my skin as it looks duller. What really surprised me about it is how long its battery lasts - I have only charged it 3 times since I bought it in May, and I use it for at least 2 minutes at a time. It also charges fairly quickly in about 30 minutes; in comparison, it takes my Clarisonic well over 8 hours to charge on a monthly basis, when used daily.

I do believe that the Clarisonic face brush provides a better clean but the Luxsio face brush leaves my skin soft, glowy and it hasn't caused dry patches like the Clarisonic did sometimes. I also think it helps to keep breakouts at bay.

I only had one issue with this brush while in London. I was usually keeping it in the shower and one night after using it, it wouldn't stop, no matter what I did. I let it be, hoping that the battery would die but it just kept going. It would stop on its own, I'd cheer and it would come on again. It went on for hours and I thought it was the end of it. I knocked it a bit against my palm and it finally stopped for good.

The next night I was wondering if it still works and was debating if I should use it. I turned it on and it did the same thing again, only it didn't last as long this time. It turned off by itself at some point and didn't come on again on its own.

I have to say I have been keeping it out of the shower, after the first time it malfunctioned and had no other issues with it. I think that somehow it got wet inside which caused the malfunction.

The bottom line is that for about $37 this is a pretty good brush and it will become my go-to when traveling, alternating between Luxsio and Clarisonic when at home.

Do you use a face brush for cleansing your skin? If so, which one?

Until next time.
