Floral asymmetrical dress

You wouldn't be expecting foggy, dark days in SoCal in August but that's exactly how it looked this past weekend (not that we're complaining too much given the one hundred degrees days coming our way).
In the spur of a moment, we decided to go out for Happy Hour in the beautiful La Jolla.
I needed a boost of confidence, and an easy fix for that is a nice outfit (let's be honest, a good outfit does make us feel better). Truth is, it's been a little tough here lately with life throwing all sorts of things at us, so we needed some relaxation time.
We first had to see the place that brings us peace - the ocean - nothing makes us forget about our day-to-day problems faster than the beautiful ocean. Everything seems small in comparison to this immense blue.

Anyway... I mentioned I needed a boost of confidence and this feminine dress helped me achieve just that.
I found it, like many others at Target and the moment I put it on, I decided it's coming home with me.
It is very flattering and comfortable, not to mention that it has that flowy look and feel, due to the ruffles at the hemline as well as bodice. I have to say, with the risk of sounding shallow, that wearing it made me feel sexy and confident in my skin. In my book, that's what fashion is all about. It is available in two colors - solid back and the one I'm wearing here, called "berry", and I went for the latter because #floralsforever.
