An honest Olay Regenerist review

An honest Olay Regenerist review | Blooming Magnolias Blog | Beauty

We all want to stay young. In fact, this desire of ours is so big, that there has been an entire industry created around it, just to slow it down, if not prevent it. Thousands of brands, millions of products, all promising that youthful look indefinitely. We all fall victim and keep searching for that miracle cream only to get disappointed over and over again.

I am no different. I have to admit I'm not looking forward to getting old, having wrinkles and having my body slow down. But it is not something I can stop, so instead, I choose to take care of my skin and body now, so it stays my friend years from now.

I think prevention is the best way to stop or delay certain things and I am all for fighting those wrinkles or any signs of them. It took me a while to understand that the skin around the eyes is the one in most need of special care - and let me tell you that I wasn't happy the day I noticed the lines forming. I had to act asap.

We all have seen the commercials for Olay Regenerist. And of course, I fell for them and became one of the millions of women that bought the products and started using them rigorously, day and night. Did they work? Read on for my honest review...

This post is not sponsored and the opinions expressed here are my own.

I have tried these products from months to years so I have quite some experience with them.
Let's start with the cream cleanser. I felt that this cleanser didn't leave my skin as clean as I wanted, but that might be because I don't use cream-cleansers - I prefer a daily scrub or gel face wash. So I will be skipping this product, for now.

I have used the Micro-sculpting Eye swirl for about a year now and I have to say I am very happy with it.

The lines around my eyes have slowly and steadily decreased, the skin is soft and moisturized so what more can I ask for? I'm going to keep using it, especially since I have not found anything better to replace it with so far.

The other products from Olay Regenerist line that I added to the must-have list are the Micro-Sculpting cream with Sunscreen for day use and the Micro-Sculpting Cream for the evening - I seriously can't go without them.

Did I notice any changes? YES! Almost instantly. I don't know what it is about it, but the moment I put it on my face, it transforms my complexion from dull/tired to looking like I just woke up from a restful sleep. And no, I don't see wrinkles/lines. At one point, I was developing wrinkles in my forehead from frowning too much (yup!) but Olay Regenerist helped me slowly "erase" those.

As far as moisture though, I have to add extra to it. Sometimes in winter, I would notice dry patches on my skin - I wear makeup every day so it's not something I want to experience. Whenever I feel like my skin needs a little more moisture, I use Active Hydrating Beauty Fluid Lotion or switch for a night to this face oil, or argan, almond or grapeseed. I haven't had a chance to try their new whips, but I am considering it, to see if those make a difference. So far I have heard great reviews about them.

Bottom line - Do I recommend Olay Regenerist? Absolutely! Will I keep using it? You bet!

Have you ever tried this line of skincare? What was your experience?

Until next time.
