I have been raving about the fall season on my Instagram page lately. I say there that I'm somewhat discovering fall again. Don't get me wrong though, I have not converted to being a fall lover as I really dislike the cold and wearing layers, I just try to appreciate beauty in any form it comes.
Thankfully, staying in the Adirondacks, we have had the chance to experience beautiful views, along with some absolutely gorgeous fall days.

The Adirondacks region is a breathtaking place in Upstate New York with high mountain peaks, gorgeous valleys and big lakes.
To enjoy the perfect fall weather, we went boating again and again, took short walks in the woods, and drove around to get a glimpse of the daily-changing foliage. We re-visited Split Rocks Falls, hoping for autumn leaves, forgetting the fact that they are mostly surrounded by evergreens. While when visiting in spring, we found high raging waters fed by the recent snow melting, this time we found a much calmer flow, but nonetheless worth seeing.
Wherever we drove, we kept running into hikers and it seemed the trails were busy as parking was very limited. We were able to find this viewing spot somewhere on the highway between Keene Valley and Elizabethtown. If you ask me, I think these were the best views "on the ground". The tall dry grass provided striking contrast against the red and green of the trees in the horizon. I hope these photos brings you as much happiness as they did to me.
Did you get to see any #fallfoliage yet?
Until next time.
