Everyone loves summer, I'm sure of it. I refuse to believe otherwise - there must be something for everyone to love about it.
I used to love summer more when I was in school because of the vacation (DUH!), but I enjoy it now too.
And while, in other parts of the country, around this time it might start to feel like fall, here in So Cal, summer is only beginning. August and September are typically the hottest months of the year and there's only one solution to that.
Everyone spends their summer time differently, but I think there's one thing we all have in common - we all love the beach! Right? Right?
So that's where we usually head to, to escape the crazy temperatures.
And while, it's very relaxing for me to simply watch and listen to the waves, if we plan to spend hours there, I need something more.
If you've been reading my blog, you must know by now that I love the beach and the ocean. I could go there every day, heck, I could live on the beach and never get tired of it. Every occasion we get, we go there, but we tend to choose beaches that are not as crowded.
The beach is my escape, the place I recharge my batteries and simply enjoy the simple things in life,
So, of course that that's where we ended up during the long holiday weekend we had.
We went to a small beach in Encinitas, CA (a city I absolutely love), usually attended by surfers, and very few people, or at least that's how we found it each time.
