The weekend is here and as always, I couldn't be happier about it - it's been a long week. For some reason I kept thinking all day Tuesday that it was Thursday (my work week started on Monday), Wednesday I woke up sure that it was Thursday and well, I lost count after that. It was and still is brutally cold here, the coldest week I have experienced living in So Cal. We are supposed to be getting some sun *fingers crossed* this weekend, so
TGIF! Another week has gone by and we're getting closer and closer to spring. Sort of. I say so because it felt like spring here for most of 2018. This week has been mostly chilly and gloomy, with little sun here and there.
This past weekend we continued with our promise to have more fun or at least, take time to simply enjoy the outdoors and the things around us.
We went to a local garden to admire the blossoms the nature has generously been offering us.
TGIF! I can't lie, I am looking forward to Fridays like my life depends on it.
The first month of this year is already gone and it's starting to feel like time is flying by. 2018 has already kicked our butts with both hubby and then me getting sick and a few other unpleasant occurrences, keeping us on our toes. The good that 2018 brought us though, is the determination to change our lives and follow our dreams. We've been working on weekends well into the morning hours, trying to catch on sleep after and feeling tired, leaving us with little energy.
I was working on my blog, having music playing in my ears when I had the idea of sharing with you what I'm listening to, in hopes of helping you find something new and even different in terms of music.
I have to admit that I don't listen to music much these days - I mostly listen to podcasts and audio books. Most of the popular songs these days are far from what I'd like to be listening to, but if I have to draw out the noise around me or simply focus all my thoughts in one direction, music does it. Podcasts and audio book require my attention and, well, I need it all with me when I'm working on my blog or certain tasks.
I have a set playlist that I listen to over and over again that includes music from my high-school days, a lot of Linkin Park, some soundtracks and even classical/relaxing music.
Sometimes, I go on youtube, select a song, switch autoplay mode on, one, because I don't want to keep switching from one song to another, and second, to possibly find new music. That's how I found the first songs on this playlist. So here's what I'm listening to these days:
