Blue and white maxi dress

Blue and white maxi dress
The ocean is part of the So Cal lifestyle, for those who live close to the coast, and for the people willing to get here.
We are lucky enough to be able to enjoy views like these any time we want - rain or sunshine, the ocean is waiting. Living in California has proven to be... interesting, but no matter what life here throws our way, the ocean makes it better. I can firmly say I will NEVER have enough of this, and it is one of the reasons why we decided to stick around, for now...

Finally, after weeks of planning but not getting to it, we made our way to this magical place I absolutely love. It's not too crowded and it offers 180 degrees of ocean views from the top of the cliffs. We love coming here for some peace and quiet, away from the noise of the city, and admire the incredible view, the waves, and sometimes the dolphins playing in the water.
It was a tad chilly that day, and so I grabbed a scarf to wrap myself in, for added warm. However, the wind was relentless. I had to either hold on to my scarf, or to my hat.

You guys know I'm a huge fan of maxi dresses and you might have noticed from my Instagram page I have a lot of love for blue and white anything. This dress I'm wearing here is, believe it or not, ten years old and it's still one of my very favorite. Apart from the fact that it's blue and white, I really like that it has a full skirt - there's something about that that I absolutely love.

Oh, did I mention that another reason I love this place so much, is because people parasail here - watching them flying is incredibly peaceful. I really want to try it myself one day.

Back to my dress though, I remember I bought it from a small boutique - it was not what I was looking for, but I could not part with it, even though it was a bit pricey for me at the time (don't quite remember how much I paid for it, but I remember being left with little money after I bought it - silly me ?).
Since obviously, this dress is not online, I've found some gorgeous blue and white dresses for you, here, here, here (how beautiful is it?), or maybe this one?

I love pairing blue and white with red (is that an American thing? ), so I normally wear red espadrilles with this dress, see some here (limited sizes), or here.

Sadly, we did not see any dolphins or whales (still dreaming of seeing those here one day), but it's OK. With this in front of me, how can I complain?
I'll leave you enjoy this amazing view below.
