One of our favorite things to do in San Diego is visit Coronado Island, which is in fact a peninsula, but who am I to point out the obvious, right?
There's lots of reasons to love this place but we keep going there because it's the perfect place to bike, walk or be lazy on the beach. Another favorite activity of ours there is admiring the amazing houses and their yards/gardens. We love walking around the neighborhoods, while enjoying the quiet streets.
And now that summer has arrived here (meaning, the HOT days are upon us), I'm adjusting my wardrobe accordingly. Gingham has been everywhere this season and it's starting to show up in my closet more and more.

And now that summer is officially here, so are the gingham sundresses. I asked you in this IG photo, if gingham is a "yes" or "no" and the replies were all pro, which lets me know that you're also liking it as much as I do.
Truth is, I'm not and never will be a casual kind of girl. Yoga pants, sweatshirts, sweatpants or sportswear are not my thing. Sure, they're comfortable and warm for those freezing winter days, but you won't find me wearing them outside my home - no, not even if I have to run to the grocery store. For as long as I remember, I have been drawn to dresses and all the feminine details like lace, ruffles, full skirts and so on. Looking at my blog and Instagram, I think you can get a clear image of what my style is. In fact, this blog was created to share my true style as an inspiration for you to develop your own. But please know that you won't find me wearing or using something I don't like.
I adore linen. And I'm so glad the fashion industry adores it too this year and is bringing this fabric in different clothing pieces and styles.
The reason I love linen so much is because it's the perfect fabric for warm weather since it allows skin to breathe, absorbs water and promotes comfort. Not to mention that it's durable, as in, you'll have your linen pieces for years and years to come.
