You guys know that I'm huge fan of the off-shoulder trend and I've embraced it fully. But there are so many more trends ruling the world of fashion these days but I want to touch the "cold-shoulder" trend today.
Just like the off-shoulder, the cold-shoulder is everywhere, and to be honest I'm not sure I'm liking it. You must be wondering now, because you see I'm wearing the style in these photos. Let me clarify.
I don't get it! This trend has been around for some time now, and while it might work for summer, I question it during winter or colder weather, when seeing sweaters, dresses and shirts with bare shoulders simply make me freeze. I don't know about you, but when I'm cold, I look to get warm and having any skin showing is not desired. So I never really dived into it. Until now.
Weekends mean time to take it easy and, well, enjoy the outside. And that applies to your style as well.
I like to put on a nice summer dress, grab a floppy hat and some espadrilles and there, weekend style done!
And what can go better with summer than a easy plaid or gingham? My dress is from Old Navy, last year but see this adorable dress, this red checked one or blue, or go a little more bold with this cold shoulder dress (in limited sizes).
Don't forget the hat (a more neutral color here) - it adds a nice touch to your outfit by making it more sophisticated, and the summer staples in shoes - espadrilles. See some I really like here, here and here.
Our favorite weekends involve the beach, of course, so that's where we ended up.
Summer is upon us and the merciless heat is kind of ruling our lives these days, especially when it comes to planning our outfits.
I don't know about you, but for me, summer equals dresses (to be honest any season equals dresses for me ?).
And I don't have to mention that I'm a huge fan of maxi dresses, heck, I have a downright obsession - I can't stop buying them - if I find one and I like it, you can bet it's coming home with me.
Another obsession of mine is blue and white (I have an entire board dedicated to it on my Pinterest) and yes, it extends beyond interior. So naturally, when I found this blue and white maxi dress, I didn't think twice about bringing it home.
Happy July dears! With summer full in swing now, and with the 4th of July holiday just around the corner, I'm curious what are your plans? For tomorrow, for the summer, please share!
I certainly miss the summer three-month long vacations, but since those don't exist anymore, we're making every weekend and holidays a vacation, when life permits ?.
However, this fourth of July we're not doing anything. We have to work on Monday and so we decided against any big celebrations , not to mention that we don't want to fight the crowds wherever we'd go.
