Memorial Day is here and the official BBQ season is open. I don't know about you, but I like to look good on any occasion, even when going to a park.
The memorial day weekend turned out to be perfect, weather wise - not too hot but not cold either. Initially, it was supposed to be cloudy and a little bit cool, but, I think the photos are speaking for themselves.
Just like everyone else, me and hubby are always looking forward to the weekend, since then we have the time to explore and discover new places in our area. So Cal has such an array of beautiful places, it only makes us want to go out and find them all.
This time is was La Jolla Cove area, in San Diego, a place we thought we knew, but really had no idea what we were missing.
Since it was supposed to be another hot day, a summer dresses was a must, so I chose to wear a maxi dress I found at Ross Dress for Less. Love its baby blue color and the gray roses print on it, and it does look kind of elegant and feminine - a style I think best describes me, even though you won't always see me wear such. I could not find this dress online but I found something a bit similar here, and I hope you like it...
So while strolling along the streets we came across this metal mermaid sculpture - how amazing is it? I could not stop staring at it and was caught in the act by my hubby in the picture below.
I've been posting a lot about style, and while, this is something I enjoy, I want to bring you more of the So Cal living - reason to why I added the "a So Cal lifestyle blog" part to the title.
Me and my hubby were born in different places but were drawn here by the nice weather and the thought of having more opportunities for work and fun. I've been thinking to write a post about the pros and cons of living in So Cal, but until then, let's get to this one.
Is there anyone out there able to resist some bougainvillea? This beautiful, bright bush is literally blooming all over So Cal now. Do I need to say more?
What started as a walk with hubby around our neighborhood, on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, ended up in an impromptu photo shoot.
