Clinical Skin Polypeptide Firming Serum review

The product reviewed here has been gifted to me, under no obligation to post about it. However, I was so impressed with it and the brand, that I wanted to bring it to your attention. This text reflects my true opinion.

My skin has suffered greatly these last few months… Lack of proper sleep, hydration (this one’s on me), and not my ideal diet have led to signs of aging I was frankly not ready for, and didn’t want to see just yet.

Since I have no plans of allowing a needle near or on my face (I just don’t like them), I’ve been “longing” for remedies to bring back some life into my skin. And through a happy coincidence, I was introduced to this Clinical Skin Polypeptide Firming Serum. But before I get into talking about it, let’s back up…

My skincare routine

For several months, my routine has been pretty basic and as low-maintenance as possible. That means that I have been ignoring my face masks, serums, and treatments for lack of [convenient] time.

The only thing I’ve been consistent about is cleansing and exfoliating my skin every day — it’s something I’ve done for years and has worked for me. I realize this might be contributing to my hyperpigmentation issue, but I can’t stop as I really don’t like how my skin feels and looks when I skip this step. It gets textured and lackluster, and I start noticing clogged pores/blackheads… a no for me!

Once I was done with cleansing and exfoliation, I would apply a moisturizer and eye cream (most of the time), and I was done.

Well, this routine would be great for younger skin, but as we age, a little more is needed to maintain a youthful look. In short, my skin was looking and feeling tired… So you see why I was interested when I was offered to try this Clinical Skin Polypeptide Firming Serum.

About the brand

Clinical Skin is “designed to improve your skin’s health and appearance through innovative Clinical Skincare solutions that make a real difference”... “Clinical Skin’s groundbreaking products target signs of aging, support your skin’s epidermal barrier, and help to prevent future damage—and the results are remarkable.- Agree based on my personal experience!

The brand focuses on spa-like luxury by creating products that absorb quickly, without any sticky or greasy residue, while offering multi-benefits. Their formulas are made in the U.S.A. with U.S. and imported ingredients and components that go through rigorous testing for efficacy and safety. Clinical Skin is also committed to working on reducing its carbon footprint by responsibly-sourcing raw materials and using recyclable packaging components whenever possible.

The process

I started “testing” their Polypeptide Firming Serum a few weeks ago, as in, applying it after cleaning my skin day and night, and before my usual moisturizer/sunscreen. I purposely avoided using other products (minus the same moisturizer/sunscreen I’ve been using for months) while I was testing this serum — to get as accurate as possible impressions.

After about a week of use, as the light hit my face one morning, I realized my skin looked different — better! Some of the lines that started to pop up in certain places were less accentuated, and my overall face just looked… more alive! I was pretty impressed, especially with how fast this serum worked for me! And yes, I’m still using it!

About the Polypeptide Firming Serum

Clinical Skin describes it as “the award-winning Polypeptide Firming Serum’s science-backed formulation has multi-tasking peptides, antioxidants, ceramides, and hyaluronic acid that will leave your skin feeling firmer and looking its best.”

With ingredients like Copper Peptide, Argireline, Matrixyl, and Palmitoyl Tripeptide-28 (ingredients I was already familiar with and loved — check the full list here), it promises to:

  • increase skin elasticity and firmness ✅

  • reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles ✅

  • improve skin moisture for a healthier appearance ✅

The checkmarks indicate my assessment of these promises — yes, in my case, it delivered!

Texture

Non-oily, and non-irritating, this serum feels light, applies easily, and absorbs immediately without any sticky or greasy residue. I didn’t find it to pill under other products/makeup, which is a big plus. No complaints here!

In conclusion

Clinical Skin was a new-to-me-brand, and while this Polypeptide Firming Serum was gifted, I was truly impressed with it, based on my results. Because of that, I will keep my eyes on this brand, and recommend it to others, though please note that their products are a bit pricey. Note: You Choose a free gift from the brand’s selection of luxury accessories with the purchase of a PolyPeptide Firming Serum. No code is necessary.

This test has also taught me something else — to be consistent about skincare, and, especially with the products I use!

I hope you try this product and love it as much as I do.

xo,

Em
