BYBI Night Nutrition protein night cream review

Once in a great while, my skin becomes irritated and/or dry. This face cream used to be my go-to for those times as it really worked for my skin, but I ran out of it, and it’s been out of stock for a while now.

Looking for an alternative, I grabbed on the go this BYBI Night Nutrition protein night cream at Target, as it sounded just like what my skin needs when irritated and dehydrated.

BYBI Night Nutrition Cream is a protein-rich night cream with oat, raspberry seed, kale, lemon, and carrot proteins. The cream is cruelty-free, vegan, and made with over 70% upcycled plant ingredients, including clementine water, a by-product of the juicing industry. The brand itself focuses on minimal environmental impact via sustainability and reducing its carbon footprint.

Since it was a new-to-me product, on the way home I was reading the reviews online, and I have to admit that I became a bit nervous after seeing several people complain about its smell as I am sensitive to them. Its scent is described as “citrus”, however, once I started using this product, I found it to have a “nutty” scent (it smells of walnuts to me, though I don’t see that to be an ingredient), and I actually enjoy it (walnut-lover here).

I use this cream more as a treatment and I slather it all over my face after cleansing before bed and wake up with hydrated, healthy-looking skin the next day. Even though my skin is oily, I haven’t experienced any breakouts while using it.

This product has a not-too-thick consistency, of a yellowish tint due to its Vitamin A content, I assume. I have noticed that I have to shake the tube prior to applying, as the cream and oil seem to separate once opened. After applying, it absorbs really well and relatively quickly, though I can’t say that it leaves my skin dry to the touch (which is OK to me for a night cream), though that could be attributed to the thick layer of product I’m applying.

Overall, I am liking this night cream and will be using it regularly, especially as we are going into the cooler season when my skin tends to become drier.

If you are looking for a “clean beauty"“ restorative night cream, I recommend trying this Night Nutrition Protein cream for glowy, hydrated skin.

Until next time.

xoxo,

Em
