5 things that bring me joy this week

my tiny blooming orchid in its new “home”…

Check the entire “5 things that bring me joy this week” weekly series here, a collection of seemingly insignificant things that serve as a reminder to appreciate the little things — those small joys that make a difference in our day-to-day.

This week so far has been going better than I’d hoped, given the time change, but I’m still adjusting... I don’t have much to share, so I will jump right into the list of 5 things that bring me joy this week:

  • the beautiful crystal pieces I snagged at the annual Chiseler’s market in Tampa. We stumbled upon this market by chance last year and left with a few great finds, so you know we had to go again this year. We didn’t find as many goodies as we hoped this time, but, truthfully, I didn’t leave disappointed. The pieces I got sure bring me joy!

  • this beautiful silk scarf I finally took for a stroll! I have been collecting scarves for years from all over. My favorite ones are made of silk and I have been dying to wear them. When it comes to scarves, I definitely have a type as I go for florals, various scenes, or painting depictions. Yup, scarves bring me joy!

  • making time for self-care, aka, using this high-frequency face wand. I still haven’t used it enough to comment on how effective it is, but my skin sure feels great after using it. And, in my case, it helps “heal” that one-off cystic acne, as long as I use it shortly after I see it forming. That sure brings joy!

  • more afternoon daylight! I said it before, and I’ll say it again — I deeply dislike the back-and-forth clock switching and I fervently wish DST was here to stay. While this week has been tough on everyone I know, we’re also enjoying the extra daylight. That always brings joy!

  • a new favorite blue and white mug. Because we all have favorite mugs, right? I tried to find mine online without any luck, but came across other adorable mugs like this floral blue and white set, this nautical blue and white set of mugs, and this big blue and white teacup and saucer.

What’s bringing YOU joy this week?

xo,

Em
