5 things that bring me joy this week

Sunshine after gray, rainy days.

Check the entire “5 things that bring me joy this week” weekly series here, a collection of seemingly insignificant things that serve as a reminder to appreciate the little things — those small joys that make a difference in our day-to-day.

So far, this week has been going fast for me, though I’m not complaining as, per usual, I’m looking forward to the weekend. We had a great last one, in spite of the continuous rain and gray skies, because it gave us a break to do a few things we’d been wanting to. So yeah, I love a good rainy weekend here and there.

Here are 5 things that bring me joy this week:

  • changing up the routine. After a weekend of non-stop rain, I had to break my routine of going to the gym on Monday, once the sunshine came back and took a long, brisk walk outside instead. The change, along with the sunshine and fresh air sure brought me joy!

  • a visit to the Dali Museum. We’ve been wanting to (re)visit for months, but somehow, our weekends were getting filled with other things. My husband decided to purchase tickets — the only “true” commitment for making it there, and yep, we sure did! I’ll share more about the visit in my upcoming month-at-a-glance blog post, but it was a good one.

  • this mushroom coffee! I have been looking for instant coffee to have on hand for when I want a “quick” cup (I make my coffee in a French Press), but I wanted something “fancy”, haha. My husband found me this instant mushroom coffee and I’m so glad he did. I’m the only coffee drinker in the family and in spite of that, he found a great one! Coffee does bring joy, right?

  • my orchids getting ready to “burst” with blooms. Again! In case you don’t know, orchids need cool temperatures to “trigger” them to bloom, and since we’ve had plenty of cold weather these last few months, my orchids have been awakened alright! Can’t wait to enjoy their flowers soon!

  • shuffling my playlist. Generally, I play my playlists in order, however, this week I decided to change it up and the excitement of what’s going to play next is an extra joy.

What’s bringing YOU joy this week?

xo,

Em
